Grace Gurman-Chan has officiated at life cycle events for close to three decades, and welcomes the opportunity to partner with you in your life’s journey. Grace is passionate about uniting our souls with the souls of our ancestors through meaningful and exciting learning.
Grace Gurman-Chan is now in her 16th year as the Educational Director at the United Synagogue of Hoboken. She has over thirty years of experience as a dynamic Jewish educator for infants, children, teens and adults, in Reform, Conservative, and Reconstructionist Jewish communities, including serving as the Assistant Director of URJ Eisner Camp and the Director of Youth for the New York region of the Union for Reform Judaism.
Grace has been a Cantorial Soloist since 1995, and sings regularly in Jewish settings. Grace serves as a mentor to other synagogue educational directors through Leadership Institute: Shaping Congregational Leaders and Learners, sponsored by the Jewish Theological Seminary and the Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion.
Feel free to call her ‘Cantor Grace,’ as she is known, or just Grace.
Grace resides in New Jersey with her family, and enjoys finding special moments with family and friends that bring much joy.
